Buk Bilong Pikinini Commends Ela Motors for its Continued Support

Buk Bilong Pikinini, a non-profit organization in Papua New Guinea, has received a generous donation of a 15-seater bus from Ela Motors.

The keys to the new bus were presented to the Executive Officer of Buk Bilong Pikinini, Leanne Resson, by Ashley Huston, Chief Operating Officer, Retail, and Seiji Tokito, General Manager, Sales and Marketing.

The event was attended by ten children from Buk Bilong Pikinini’s Koki Markets Library Learning Centre, who sang and tested the new bus on Thursday, 23rd November. Buk Bilong Pikinini expressed its gratitude for the donation, as it will allow the organization to better serve its 12 Library Learning Centers (LLCs) in Port Moresby and enable the students to go on more educational excursions.

Buk Bilong Pikinini believes that field trips are an essential part of children’s education, as they are a great way to reinforce what they have learned in the classroom as part of their Early Childhood Education program. This donation will provide an experience and expose the children to what they have learned firsthand, solidify their understanding, and give them perspective as they explore new environments.

Ela Motors has been a long-term donor of Buk Bilong Pikinini, having donated two buses in the past. In addition to the bus donation, Ela Motors has also made Buk Bilong Pikinini the recipient of their Charity Golf Day, which was celebrated with a Christmas Charity Golf Tournament on 1st of December 2023.
