Event Date: August 10, 2024 【Papua New Guinea】

On August 10, 2024, Toyota Tsusho PNG Ltd. (TTPNG) (*), the authorized dealer for new Toyota and Hino vehicles in Papua New Guinea, participated as a guest in a cultural show event in Enga Province. This participation was aimed at supporting the disaster recovery efforts for the thousands of victims affected by the landslide that occurred on May 24, as well as ensuring the mobility services necessary for students to attend school. During the event, TTPNG donated Toyota and Hino vehicles.

The province is located in the northwestern part of Papua New Guinea and serves as a crucial hub for the transportation and logistics of goods inland. It is also home to a large-scale gold mine. TTPNG has established a branch in this region, deeply integrating its business operations with the local community.

During the discussions leading up to this support initiative, Enga Province Governor Peter Ipatas expressed his commitment to using the donated vehicles to aid in disaster recovery and promote future regional development. He also conveyed his desire to continue building a strong partnership with TTPNG.

TTPNG has a policy of allocating an amount equivalent to 1% of its net profit for the current fiscal year to CSR activities. Through proactive social contribution activities, TTPNG aims to contribute to the development of the country and local communities. This aligns with the mission of the Mobility Division, which is “Bring Happiness to the People and the Society, by Continuously Building New Business Models in the Mobility Field”.

The donation of vehicles on this occasion is part of these efforts. TTPNG will continue to collaborate with local communities and pursue initiatives aimed at sustainable development.
